Winter Curtain

Unique glass sculpture by Ritva-Liisa Pohjalainen in co-operation with Maestro Mariano Moro and Amber Hauch in Murano, Italy, 2017.

The sculpture has been blown and formed with hot glass mass.

After the annealing process, the sculpture has been cut and polished flat on both sides to create a lens effect. The mirror inside the sculpture has been added afterwards in the cold state. The snowing effect on the side has been carved and “battuto” has been done according to Ritva-Liisa’s clay model.
