The sculpture "Autumn Storm" started the story of Autumn in the Shanghai exhibition. Autumn is the time when daytime gets shorter, in the dark the autumn storm whips the trees and leaves form whirls. Then the cold nights come and calmness arrives. Moon lightens up the nightly landscapes. My sculptures get their metallic surfaces from this, the transparent glimmer of ice.
The visitors in my Shanghai exhibition see in these sculptures something similar to the ink paintings in their art culture. Hidden inside the glass it is a new dimension for them.
